China Watch Special: CCP's AI Strategy and Regime Influence on American Politics
China Watch Special: Ava Chen on the CCP's AI Strategy
This week's China Watch segment falls on Thursday instead of its usual Wednesday slot, but the timing couldn't be more fortuitous given recent developments. Alongside co-host Ava Chen from the New Federal State of China, we're examining major headlines that validate what we've been reporting for months.
Two crucial stories from The Epoch Times stand out: "U.S. Courts Weaponized by Foreign Power, Congress Hears Lawfare Orchestrated by Chinese Regime Causes Chilling Effect in the U.S." and "Defending Dollar Supremacy May Be the Next Phase of the U.S.-China Trade War." These stories confirm what we've been highlighting all along - we've been right over the target.
Recent weeks have brought a significant shift in momentum, with Capitol Hill finally giving serious attention to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). As Ava Chen notes, "I suddenly felt we reached a certain kind of threshold or momentum that kicked in. Right now everybody is talking about the CCP, especially on Capitol Hill." This increased scrutiny is essential as the American public needs to understand threats that have been buried for too long.
Senator Josh Hawley recently appeared on War Room, discussing how "tech bros" have been selling American technology to China for personal profit. This technology is now being used against American citizens - a pattern that's been developing for at least the past 6-8 years.
The AI Battle Between Democracy and Dictatorship
The most discussed technology today is artificial intelligence (AI). Opinions on AI vary widely, but as Ava emphasizes, "The technology itself is neutral. It's just a tool, but how people use it, who is using it, and for what purpose - that's what matters."
Americans must ask the critical question: "Who is benefiting?" This question challenges the assumption that government actions automatically benefit all citizens equally. More people are realizing this can't be taken for granted, which is prompting deeper examination of who truly benefits from technological advancement.
At yesterday's AI summit, former President Trump outlined an AI action plan specifically designed to counter China. Despite his diplomatic comments about having a "good relationship with China," Trump's actions speak volumes. His plan includes four key components:
Leading the global AI race to outcompete China
Expanding U.S. AI companies internationally to block Beijing's global reach
Strengthening domestic hardware and chip supply chains
Fast-tracking deregulation to outpace Beijing's centralized model
The fundamental difference lies in governance models. In China's dictatorship, Xi Jinping makes decisions without debate. As Ava explains, "There's no debate. There's only terror, lies, and sycophants because they all want to say what Xi Jinping wants to hear." This creates a system where officials focus on pleasing the leader rather than solving actual problems.
While democracy may seem slower because it requires debate and consensus-building, this deliberative process ultimately produces better outcomes by avoiding pitfalls. China's apparent speed advantage comes from bypassing necessary safeguards, not from superior innovation.
Trump's statement that "The American people do not want woke, Marxist lunacy in AI models" directly rejects importing ideological biases into AI development. His approach focuses on accelerating innovation by cutting red tape while maintaining American values - a stark contrast to China's model.
The Surveillance State: How AI Could Threaten Freedom
A critical development occurred at a recent bipartisan roundtable on artificial intelligence held by the GOP Oversight Committee. The chairman of Night Scope Company advocated for using AI in policing to establish 24/7 surveillance systems, arguing this would make cities safer.
He specifically cited Singapore and Communist China as being "way ahead" of the United States in implementing these technologies. When questioned about global adoption, he emphasized that "Singapore's government has asked 15 times to relocate to Singapore to help them. And by the way, Communist China is way ahead of us."
His argument attempted to downplay privacy concerns by suggesting that the fear of constant surveillance should take a backseat to public safety. He claimed that what truly puts Americans on edge isn't government surveillance but rather the risk of being shot while going about daily life.
This false choice between security and privacy represents a dangerous framework. As Ava points out, "In Communist China, you have no human rights. You have no privacy. You are just a piece of meat on the cutting board by this totalitarian government."
While AI could help address understaffed police departments and reduce crime, the critical question is who controls these systems and for what purpose. As Ava warns, "The bad guys are using this opportunity to turn everything good into bad. So you need to watch who is at the table, what they're saying, how they're going to do this."
Many initiatives that undermine freedom are initially presented as beneficial - just as environmental initiatives, DEI programs, and surveillance systems are marketed as serving the public good. "When evil comes to knock on your door and try to sell you something, they always say something sweet to you," Ava cautions.
Exposing the "Globalist" Influence and CCP Wealth
The identity of the "globalists" has evolved over the past 40 years, but one consistent pattern emerges - they all engage with Communist China. The World Trade Organization (WTO) has been a primary vehicle for this engagement, accelerating the transfer of wealth and influence to the CCP.
China's totalitarian dictatorship operates on a fundamentally different principle than Western democracies. Prior to 2003, China had a collective leadership of seven to nine families controlling everything. When they began international trading, these families determined how to distribute the resulting wealth.
This explains why healthcare spending for 1.4 billion Chinese people amounts to less than 0.4% of GDP. The wealth flowing into China through trade isn't benefiting ordinary citizens but rather enriching the ruling elite. As Ava explains, "There's no free trade because you don't understand the system you're dealing with. This is communist dictatorship."
The scale of wealth accumulated by these families over 30-40 years is staggering. "If you reviewed the true wealth they have, nobody - including Elon Musk - can claim they're the richest person on planet Earth," says Ava. Unlike legitimate business people, "They don't do business. They plunder. They steal."
These families control access to China's market of 1.4 billion consumers, offering this access to American tech companies, Wall Street fund managers, and Hollywood studios in exchange for cooperation. "They rule them," Ava explains. This creates an uneven playing field where Western companies operating under free market principles and rule of law compete against a black-box system where decisions are made by a handful of individuals.
Exclusive Intelligence: CCP's "BGY" Strategy to Compromise Western Elites
In a stunning revelation, Ava shared exclusive intelligence from whistleblowers still working within the Chinese Communist Party system. This information concerns the CCP's "BGY" strategy to compromise Western elites through bribery, prostitution, blackmail, and other means.
The CCP recently announced that Hainan Island has become an "independent declared independent custom regime." While this may seem like a mundane administrative change, it actually signals a significant expansion of the CCP's efforts to entrap and compromise Western visitors.
According to Ava's sources, the CCP has established four primary locations specifically designed to compromise Western officials and business leaders:
Tibet (established in the 1980s-1990s)
Xinjiang Autonomous Region
Hong Kong
Macau
Hainan Island now joins this list as the fifth major location. These areas function as sophisticated honeypots where visitors are surveilled, seduced, and compromised. "The CCP has already put a sky net and is waiting for you to do something wrong, and they will seduce you," Ava warns.
This strategy involves offering "the purest form of drug" and other temptations to create compromising situations that can later be used for blackmail and control. Hainan's new designation indicates an intensification of these efforts to target Western visitors.
Master Sergeant Jack Dona: Obama Administration's Surveillance of Trump Campaign
In the second segment, Master Sergeant Jack Dona (retired) joined to discuss recent revelations about government surveillance of the Trump campaign and administration. With 30 years of experience in the intelligence community, including work at the NSA as an electronic warfare expert, Dona brings unique insight to these developments.
Recent statements by Tulsi Gabbard have confirmed what many suspected: the Obama administration weaponized intelligence services against Donald Trump. As Dona explains, "A lot of the quote-unquote conspiracy theories that we were labeled as have now come to fruition."
The origins of this scandal trace back to Admiral Rogers, who was heading the National Security Agency when an internal audit detected contractors inappropriately using surveillance systems to spy on the Trump campaign. Rogers informed Devin Nunez, then chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, who alerted President Trump.
"Had that not happened," Dona emphasizes, "we would be in a totally different world today. Had those two men not done that, it never would have been detected. None of this would have ever come out."
What Tulsi Gabbard is now alleging is that President Obama directed intelligence officials to create a false product indicating Trump colluded with Russia, despite actual intelligence showing no such collusion. This meeting reportedly included James Clapper, John Brennan, James Comey, and Susan Rice.
Gabbard's allegations suggest that the President ordered intelligence analysts to ignore actual intelligence and instead use the discredited Steele dossier. The people who drafted the report have stated that their preliminary draft became the final product without proper review.
Legal Implications: Treason, Sedition, and Accountability
The legal ramifications of these allegations are significant. Gabbard has used the term "treason" in her public statements, which has specific legal meaning under 18 U.S. Code 2381:
"Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000 and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States."
If Gabbard is alleging treason, this would suggest involvement of a foreign hostile power in conjunction with Obama's actions. Notably, there is no statute of limitations on treason.
Alternatively, these actions might constitute sedition under 18 U.S. Code 2384, which covers conspiracy to overthrow the government or prevent the execution of U.S. laws. Like treason, sedition has no statute of limitations.
A curious aspect of this scandal is the absence of Loretta Lynch, who was Attorney General during these events. After her June 27, 2016 meeting with President Clinton on the tarmac in Phoenix, Lynch effectively disappeared from public view, with James Comey subsequently announcing no charges would be brought against Hillary Clinton.
Recent reporting suggests the statute of limitations may still apply, as Matt Taibbi has alleged that the Biden administration continued using these surveillance systems against the Trump campaign in 2024.
Conclusion: The Struggle Between Freedom and Control
The fundamental battle underway is between two visions for humanity. On one side stands the Chinese Communist Party model of surveillance, control, and suppression of individual rights. On the other is the American system of constitutional governance, transparency, and personal freedom.
As Jack Dona notes, global elites increasingly view ordinary citizens as "nothing more than nuisances... people that are eating up resources, people that are destroying the pretty places that they want to settle in." This mindset drives efforts to subvert American democracy, as the United States represents "the last bastion on the hill... the last shining light on the hill."
The stakes couldn't be higher. As Ava Chen warns, if advanced technologies like AI and quantum computing fall into the wrong hands, "that's the end of Earth." By allowing rogue regimes to exist and gain technological advantage, "we're basically ending our own race."
Accountability for those who abused power is essential to restore faith in institutions. Without consequences, people will continue to lose trust in the system, creating greater vulnerability to foreign influence and domestic corruption.
