Arizona’s Elections Are Failing Every Legal Standard: A Deep Dive into the 2024 Validity Scorecard

On December 1, 2025, Kathleen Winn opened her radio program *Winn Tucson* on 1030 The Voice with a bombshell: the just-released Arizona Election Validity Scorecard from Unite for Freedom (unite4freedom.com) shows the state’s 2024 general election was neither lawful nor valid under federal or state law. Guests Harry Haury (co-founder and chairman of Unite for Freedom), Lisa Von Geldern (John Birch Society and Unite for Freedom volunteer), and later Sgt. Betsy Brantner Smith (National Police Association) laid out the evidence in exhaustive detail.

Unite for Freedom: Who They Are and Why Their Work Matters

Harry Haury, a former NSA, Department of Defense, and private-sector systems architect with degrees in chemical engineering and systems science, founded Unite for Freedom after the 2020 election. The organization is 100% volunteer — 94 credentialed professionals in systems engineering, fraud risk analysis, quantitative risk management, and cybersecurity donate thousands of hours to examine official voter rolls and election records state-by-state.

“Ninety-four professionals — no one gets paid,” Lisa Von Geldern emphasized. “They come from Sandia Labs, Bank of the West, Citigroup, Wells Fargo, Clorox, AT&T, you name it. These are the people who design the systems banks and governments use to catch fraud. And every state we’ve looked at fails basic legal standards.”

The group is releasing one state scorecard per day until Christmas. December 1 was Arizona’s turn — and the numbers are devastating.

The Four Legal Tests Arizona Flunked in 2024

Unite for Freedom uses four objective metrics required by federal law:

1. **Were the voter rolls accurate?** (National Voter Registration Act of 1993)

Federal law allows a maximum error rate of 0.0008% — in Arizona that meant 27 errors were permissible.

**Reality:** Hundreds of thousands of errors, including duplicate registrations, commercial addresses, and registrations from federal holidays/Sundays before online registration existed.

2. **Were votes counted only from eligible voters?** (U.S. Constitution)

Arizona’s error rate: **23%**.

3. **Did the number of ballots counted match the number of voters who voted?**

In 2024 Arizona counted **6,710 more ballots than voters who voted** — ballots with no human being attached.

4. **Were the number of ballots in error within legal limits?** (Help America Vote Act of 2002)

Arizona was allowed **27 erroneous ballots**.

**Reality: 787,585 ballots with fatal errors** — nearly 800,000 votes that federal law says should never have been counted.

“787,585 illegal ballots would have changed every statewide race,” Von Geldern said. “Katie Hobbs won the 2022 governor’s race by 17,117 votes. We literally have no idea who actually won these elections.”

Specific Arizona Red Flags

- 587,990 illegal duplicate registrations in 2022 (people registered — and sometimes voting — multiple times)

- 832,582 registrations on federal holidays or Sundays before online registration existed

- 223,161 registrants listed as over 114 years old or who registered before the legal age (109,672 of them voted in 2024)

- Tens of thousands of ballots mailed to county recorder offices, PO boxes, or commercial addresses

- Over 77,000 invalid residential addresses

- Registrations far exceeding dwelling capacity (the infamous “32 voters in a three-bedroom boarding house” problem)

Harry Haury was blunt: “This isn’t opinion. These are material violations of federal and state law. In the 1800s they put election officials in prison for this. It’s still good law.”

Phantom Voters, Vote-Tampering, and Post-Certification Changes

Separate reports document even darker issues:

- **Phantom voters** — identities with no bank account, no credit history, no social media, no Medicaid, no nothing — except a ballot. California’s 2024 phantom study found 77,085 such votes.

- **In-stream voter history tampering** — votes added, deleted, then re-added after certification in multiple states. Ohio injected 382,248 votes and deleted 366,288 after certification — a net swing of nearly 750,000 on already-certified results.

“Once an election is certified, the voter history file is supposed to be sealed,” Haury explained. “They’re altering federal records after the fact. That’s a felony.”

Pima County’s Observer Ban and Mail-In Ballot Abuse

Kathleen Winn highlighted a local outrage: “Fourteen Arizona counties allow observers at early ballot processing. Pima County refuses — and it’s the only county that does.”

She described the recent Tucson city council election: “Six thousand bad ballots went out, six thousand bad ballots came back. We have no idea what happened to them in between.”

Harry Haury added: “We have no chain of custody from the voter’s hand to the tabulator. That’s insane.”

What Needs to Happen — Immediately

Unite for Freedom supports President Trump’s executive-order priorities:

- Hand-counted paper ballots on Election Day

- Voter ID and proof of citizenship

- Elimination of unmonitored drop boxes

- Elimination of universal mail-in voting

- Full certification of voting machines under federal law (most states are issuing waivers instead)

“We’re not trying to overturn elections,” Von Geldern stressed. “We want lawful, valid elections going forward. But until we fix this, we have no idea who’s actually representing us.”

Sgt. Betsy Brantner Smith: The Rising War on Law Enforcement

Later in the program, retired sergeant and National Police Association spokesperson Betsy Brantner Smith delivered grim news:

As of December 1, 2025, **314 American police officers have been shot in the line of duty this year** — the sixth consecutive year above 300. Ambush attacks are at a 30-year high.

“This is a war on cops that accelerated in 2020 and never stopped,” Smith said. “Politicians who spent years screaming ‘defund the police’ are now pretending they never said it — but the damage is done.”

She cited the jihadist murder of two National Guardsmen in Washington, D.C., the billion-dollar COVID fraud scandal in Minnesota under Gov. Tim Walz that allegedly funded Somali terrorist networks, and Arizona’s own senators (Mark Kelly and Ruben Gallego) openly questioning the legality of presidential orders to the military.

“When sitting U.S. senators tell service members to disobey lawful orders, that’s sedition,” Kathleen Winn declared. “And when we can’t even secure legitimate elections, we get more of the same people who hate law enforcement and hate this country.”

The Bottom Line

Arizona — and America — no longer have verifiable elections under current procedures. Nearly 800,000 illegal ballots in one state alone dwarf every statewide margin we’ve seen in years. The same patterns repeat in more than 30 states examined so far.

As Harry Haury put it: “We either fix this now, or our representative government is finished.”
