The Exploitation of Children: How Transgender Ideology Threatens Families
America's Mom Sharona Bishop Reveals Disturbing Cases of Parental Rights Violations
The transgender movement's influence has grown exponentially across America, reaching into schools, homes, and courts - often with devastating consequences for families. Despite President Trump's immediate actions to undo trans indoctrination and halt federal funding for organizations promoting gender ideology in schools, the battle continues, particularly in blue states where private donors are stepping in to fill funding gaps.
Sheronna Bishop, known as "America's Mom," is on the front lines of this fight. A constitutional conservative who entered the political arena in 2017 to protect her children from harmful government policies, Bishop now advocates for families across the country who are losing their children to Child Protective Services (CPS) due to their refusal to affirm their children's gender identity claims.
"Trans indoctrination is so prolific across the country, in spite of President Trump's best efforts," Bishop explained. "He came into office and immediately started undoing all of this indoctrination, ideology, the funding of these organizations across the country, including schools that had become indoctrination sites for trans ideology."
The consequences of this indoctrination have been severe. Bishop points to the connection between gender ideology, hormonal treatments, and violence: "We haven't had one school shooter in the last four years who has not been on SSRIs and some sort of hormone therapy because they've been indoctrinated into this gender ideology."
These antidepressants and mood stabilizers are being prescribed alongside cross-sex hormones, creating what Bishop describes as "a cocktail of misery, destruction, and death across this country."
The Fitsky Family: A Case Study in Parental Rights Violations
Bishop highlighted a particularly disturbing case from Rifle, Colorado, involving Heather and Brent Fitsky, parents of six children. One of their daughters was "co-opted" by what Bishop describes as a "trans cult" that operates through school-based organizations like PFLAG (Parents and Families of Lesbians and Gays) and GSA (Gay Straight Alliance).
"They spent two years grooming this young lady," Bishop said. "The parents really didn't know. They just thought it was normal teenage angst."
The situation escalated when a "perfect stranger" - a trans activist - petitioned a judge to remove the 17-year-old girl from her parents' custody using Colorado's House Bill 1312, the "non-legal name change bill." This legislation allows courts to place children with guardians who will affirm their gender identity if parents refuse to do so.
"No CPS intervention ever. No law enforcement intervention. No complaints ever of violence, neglect, abuse," Bishop emphasized. "This is a wonderful family."
Just two weeks after the girl was removed from her parents' home, she was given prescriptions for SSRIs and testosterone. Adding insult to injury, the court placed a restraining order against the parents, preventing them from discussing the case publicly after they appeared on Bishop's show to tell their story. Bishop herself was served with two restraining orders for discussing the case.
"The child's been kidnapped," said host Kathleen Winn. "And we know who the kidnappers are and they're drugging their daughter. And they're drugging their daughter to carry out an ideology because this is the hill that they want to die on, which is the transitioning of our children from boy to girl or girl to boy. And this is evil."
Bishop noted that the Fitsky case appears to be precedent-setting, as the girl is 17 and would legally be an adult in just months. She believes similar cases involving younger children are happening but may not be reported due to parents feeling overwhelmed and isolated.
Colorado law now prohibits individuals from becoming foster parents if they will not affirm a child's chosen gender identity, effectively eliminating many Christian families from the foster care system. The state has also made it illegal to conduct background checks on the "dead names" of individuals who legally change their gender, creating what Bishop describes as an open door for pedophiles to access children.
Fighting Back: Resources for Parents
Bishop emphasized that parents are not powerless against these threats. She works with Moms for America to provide support for families nationwide through a dedicated hotline: 1-833-422-PROTECT-KID.
"This is a support line for parents all across the country," Bishop explained. "Because you listen to these stories and you start hearing a description of your child and you've wondered what's going on with my kid. This might just hit you and this is going to be a place where you can come for support or you may have to be coming here to actually make a statement and have your story taken to the DOJ immediately."
Bishop also outlined practical steps parents can take to protect their children:
File restraining orders against trans-promoting organizations and their leaders in schools
Form parent groups to collectively file protective orders
Leverage President Trump's executive order on "Ending Radical Indoctrination in K-12 Schools"
Put school boards on notice regarding federal compliance requirements
"President Trump has set the path. It is very clear," Bishop said. "We have 'Ending Radical Indoctrination in K through 12 Schools.' You're going to go to the dot gov site. You're going to pull up that executive order. You're going to put your school board on notice."
Bishop's work with the Department of Justice is aimed at prosecuting those who groom and exploit children through transgender ideology. "The DOJ is seeking out and will be prosecuting these cases across the country," she stated.
Normalizing the Abnormal: The Broader Context
Both Bishop and Winn expressed concern that transgender ideology represents an attempt to normalize pedophilia and other harmful behaviors. Bishop noted that in her 17 years volunteering at youth detention facilities and doing foster care, she never encountered a single child who identified as transgender.
"Over the course of 20 years, we never had one child ever say they were trans, not one," Bishop said. "This perception that this is somehow normal in the culture is again, it is beyond mental illness. It's a perversion and it is disgusting."
Winn added that these efforts target children's innocence and family cohesion: "They don't like happy families. They are doing everything they can to attack."
Honoring Charlie Kirk's Legacy
The conversation also touched on the recent assassination of Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, who was described as a "Christian first, family second, and politics third."
"Charlie Kirk died trying to protect this next generation," Winn noted, emphasizing the importance of continuing his work to defend families and children from ideological exploitation.
In the second hour of the program, Winn was joined by retired General Stephen Mundt to discuss Kirk's legacy and the importance of civil dialogue across political divides. They highlighted Kirk's willingness to engage with those who disagreed with him and his emphasis on respectful communication.
"When I look at Charlie and I listen to Charlie, what you and I were talking about is if somebody had walked up to Charlie that day and said, 'I hate you. I think all these vile thoughts about you. I think you should be dead. I'd kill you if I could,'" Mundt said. "Charlie wouldn't have gotten angry. That wouldn't have been the way he reacted. He would have turned to him and said, 'Okay. I understand what you're thinking and feeling. Can you explain that to me?'"
Teaching Children to Think, Not What to Think
Mundt emphasized the importance of teaching children how to think independently rather than what to think: "If you teach your children what to think rather than how to think, sooner or later they're going to run out of runway with what you taught them to think."
He expressed concern about the influence of technology and social media on children's development, noting that today's youth spend less than an hour outdoors daily compared to previous generations who played outside until "the street lights came on."
"Our problem is we have kids right now who are online that have been taught what to think by academic institutions, by social media, coaches, all this stuff," Mundt observed. "And they don't know how to think."
A Call to Action
The program concluded with a call for listeners to engage civically, with Winn emphasizing the importance of voting in an upcoming special election for Congressional District 7.
Mundt shared a powerful story about voting in Iraq, where citizens risked their lives to participate in elections despite threats from extremists. He recounted meeting a man who brought his three-year-old son to have his thumb marked with purple ink after voting, saying, "This is the first day of my son's life."
This dedication to democratic participation stands in stark contrast to America's relatively low voter turnout rates, typically around 30-40%.
"We are a generous, kind person at our heart," Winn concluded, emphasizing the need to protect children and families while honoring Kirk's legacy of respectful engagement across political divides.
